I am Dr. Gray and I teach all things Business at Manual Arts. I teach Foundations to Entrepreneurship, Business Management, and Business Leadership. I am dedicated to equipping the next generation of leaders with the skills, knowledge, and mindset to thrive in today’s dynamic business world. Course Descriptions

FOUNDATIONS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP

This course explores a variety of topics in the arena of business. Students are exposed to various economies and the role business plays in our economy. We will explore entrepreneurship, marketing, and managing financial and technological resources. Course activities will include writing, investigating, problem-solving, demonstrating, and reporting. We will also have a visiting art teacher from Media Arts Matter who will teach students digital skills

SMALL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

This course explores small business management and will focus on developing management and leadership skills, marketing concepts, career development, communication skills, work skills, and business technology. Integration of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel will be used in conjunction with Internet research. Students will read current magazine and journal articles related to businesses, ethics, and current events. Students will be able to complete and solve complex problems and use higher thinking skills regarding the world of business. Students will develop a business plan for a new business. In addition, students will continue to build oral communication skills through class presentations of projects. We will be using the NFTE Curriculum that will culminate in a final presentation to be presented for competition.

Class Projects — Student Innovation Project: Using random items student create a "new" business product and the present the project, defining thier target market, price points and logistics.
